Who are Brooklyn's Dreamers?
Dreamers are anyone who is engaged in their community, who cares about Brooklyn's dynamic cultural landscape, who likes to make things happen and who would like to meet others who are interested in the same thing!
Brooklyn's Dreamers are hosting parties, performances, and arts events, connecting TFANA to our new neighbors-the vibrant, diverse community of Downtown Brooklyn. Any proceeds from our events directly benefit the building of Theatre for a New Audience's first permanent home, a stunning Hugh Hardy-designed Elizabethan courtyard theatre in the heart of the BAM Cultural District in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Join! You'll meet and network with fun, interesting people, help bring great theatre to Brooklyn, and be a part of the revitalization of Downtown Brooklyn and the expansion of arts and culture in New York City.
What the Dreamers are up to:
During TFANA's performance season, Brooklyn's Dreamers are offered reduced-rate tickets to our productions, paired with exclusive events to meet and mingle with the actors and directors.
We're hosting joint events with neighboring arts and cultural organizations (such as MoCADA and Irondale Ensemble Project - because we like the arts!
Our 2008 Summer Bash brought eight local artists together in a Brooklyn Artists' Gallery: paintings, sculpture, multimedia, and a live, interactive mural drawing. Plus a DJ, open bar, gourmet food and the best view in Brooklyn - the gorgeous roof deck of the Forte Condos in Fort Greene, overlooking our building site! Click out photos from the event below.

How do I join?
Being a Dreamer requires enthusiasm and creative ideas but not a lot of time. Here's what you can do:
Sign up for our mailing list, and receive the monthly Capital Newsletter, monthly Brooklyn's Dreamers Extra, and invitations to Dreamers events.
Email Elizabeth with your ideas for events or collaborations-a party at a gallery supporting a local artist's event or creating one around their work, cocktail parties to introduce new people to the Dreamers, participating in Brooklyn public events, parties with other theatres, museums, etc.

Brooklyn's Dreamers Ohio State Murders Event

Dreamers and their friends gathered for a performance of Ohio State Murders at The Duke on 42nd Street. Afterwards, they mingled with the director and cast while enjoying cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at Zanzibar.
