Who are Brooklyn’s Dreamers?

The faces of Brooklyn - anyone who is engaged in their community, who cares about Brooklyn’s dynamic cultural landscape, who likes to make things happen and who would like to meet others who are interested in the same thing!

What do we do: host parties, performances and social arts events that bring together you, your friends, actors, other artists and fellow New Yorkers, all in the name of supporting Theatre for a New Audience and the growing Brooklyn arts community.

Why do we do this: to help build Theatre for a New Audience’s first permanent home. Frank Gehry and Hugh Hardy have collaborated to design a stunning building with an Elizabethan courtyard theatre in the heart of the BAM Cultural District in Downtown Brooklyn. For 28 years Theatre for a New Audience has been producing stellar contemporary versions of Shakespeare and other classic works and running education programs for NYC school children all without a theatre of our own. It’s high time we had one and Brooklyn is the right place and now is the right time!

Please Join! You’ll meet fun, interesting people, help to bring great theatre to Brooklyn, be a part of the revitalization of Downtown Brooklyn and the expansion of arts and culture in New York City.
