Theatre for a New Audience’s 31st season is dedicated to two literary giants: three parts Shakespeare and one part Dostoevsky. We present an original adaptation of Dostoevsky’s exquisite novella Notes from Underground, Shakespeare’s late romance Cymbeline, the dark comedy The Merchant of Venice, and the tragedy Macbeth.
The troubled and troubling central characters will be performed by the dynamic, award-winning actors F. Murray Abraham, Bill Camp, and John Douglas Thompson. We are also pleased to present Fiasco Theater, an exciting young company of six actors whose fresh performing style and flair for Shakespeare have won national attention.
