Brooklyn’s Dreamers Celebrate Summer with Irondale Ensemble Project on Prospero’s Island

sum-bash-compilation-195x448.jpgProspero’s Island came to life on Wednesday, July 15, as Theatre for a New Audience’s Brooklyn’s Dreamers hosted their third annual Summer Bash. This year the group collaborated with the Theatre’s future BAM Cultural District neighbors Irondale Ensemble Project at their home, The Irondale Center in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The party was attended by Dreamers, local residents and community members, and supporters of both organizations. Guests enjoyed tropical drinks by sponsors Partida Tequila, Sobieski Vodka, and Brooklyn Brewery from the tiki-style bar, sampled delicious food from a wide variety of local restaurants, viewed an art exhibit featuring work by local artists, and danced the night away to Brooklyn reggae band The Forthrights and DJ Smoke La Roq.

The event, a first-time collaboration between the Theatre and Irondale, raised funds for both organizations. It was also an opportunity for supporters of both groups to interact with one another and the local community.
