The October 2009 issue of American Theatre features an article on David Zinn, a prominent costume and scenic designer who has worked with Theatre for a New Audience on many productions, including this season’s Orpheus X, directed by Robert Woodruff, and Measure for Measure, directed by Arin Arbus.
Orpheus X, which was originally produced in 2006 by American Repertory Theatre, is one of many collaborations between Zinn and Woodruff, including last season’s Chair, for which Zinn earned a 2009 Lucille Lortel Award Nomination. His prolific work, which includes opera, contemporary and classical theatre, was further recognized this year when Zinn received an OBIE Award for sustained excellence in scenic design.
