…It would be easy to over-emphasize its radical qualities, though. This is not experimentalism as difficulty: It’s pleasure after pleasure. Director Lileana Blain-Cruz leans into its sense of overabundance by ignoring its birth in Off–Off scrappiness and staging the play as a trove of Fabergé eggs, each space a jewellike interior.
