Theatre for a New Audience is a modern classical theatre dedicated to the language and ideas of authors, offering celebrated production of Shakespeare alongside other great writers. Founded in 1979 by Jeffrey Horowitz, Theatre for a New Audience is one of the most respected producers of Shakespeare and classical drama in America. The Theatre broadens cultural literacy by engaging diverse audience in innovative productions of masterworks that offer context and perspective to current events and contemporary life.

Ticket sales account for a small portion of our operating costs. By making a tax-deductible donation, you will help Theatre for a New Audience as we realize the visions of some of the finest artists working today. Members receive benefits that augment their theatre-going experience while supporting groundbreaking productions, all at Polonsky Shakespeare Center.
